 To all affiliated with Lafayette Education Foundation appreciate your generous support of our mission, The Board of Directors, staff, ReProm committee and community partners thank you for being an integral part of ReProm 2011! Since 1989, Lafayette Education Foundation, a local non-profit agency, has put over $1,050,000 directly into Lafayette Parish classrooms for innovative academic projects. Additionally, we have recognized over 3,000 outstanding educators and awarded $286,000 in cash awards to finalists at the community-supported annual LEF Teacher Awards. Currently, LEF programs are improving reading skills of over 8,000 elementary students and, helping students with bullying and other social issues through Challenge Day. In addition, LEF is funding a leadership initiative in our pilot ‘Leader In Me’ program. This leadership initiative has given Plantation Elementary School the title of ‘School of Leadership’ while giving the students skills to prepare for the 21st century. These programs are all designed to help increase the graduation rate in our schools while increasing students' confidence. *Lafayette Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non- profit organization.
