LEF maintains an endowed trust fund of approximately $1.4 million. Interest generated from this fund goes directly to fund LEF programs which benefit Lafayette Parish public schools. Your investment can mean the continuation and growth of these valuable projects. LEF programs are making a positive impact in the success of Lafayette Parish students, reflected in these positive results over the past year:

• Over 8,000 K-3 students had a better chance at reading on or above grade level.
In classrooms where reading model grants were funded an improvement of as much as 30% was realized.
• 4,000 sophomore students participated in Career Connections, an expo which pairs business professionals with students as the students investigate potential career options.
• Literacy Nights were held at elementary schools engaging parent involvement in student learning.

• Bullying Prevention and grants fostering positive school environment have been implemented at L J Alleman Middle and Alice Boucher Elementary Schools.
