    Challenge Day

Challenge Day is a two-day workshop which educates high school students on how to manage personal, life struggles and negative emotions. The program, an international movement, has been impacting schools and students since 1987. Program founders, Yvonne and Rich Dutra-St. John, wanted to make a difference in schools by coaching students on the negative effects bullying behavior has on a person's school life and future.

By teaching students to manage their emotions in a more positive way, the Challenge Day program fosters a positive  environment, thus leading to appropriate academic behavior and a brighter future.  This program has been implemented at Acadiana High School under the direction of Kathy Roy.

On April 19-20, 2009, LEF hosted Challenge Day at Comeaux High School.  The program was a huge success and was directed by Lisette Henderson.  Please check back for more information on the impact at Comeaux High School.
