Have you or someone you know been positively impacted by the actions of a dedicated teacher? If so, LEF wants to know! Lafayette Education Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the Fifteenth Annual Teacher Awards. This is the perfect time to say Thank You to that special teacher who has made a difference in your life or the life of someone you know.

Who is eligible?

Any active educator in a Lafayette Parish public, private or parochial school, grades K-12.

Who can nominate a teacher?

Students, parents, fellow educators, members of the community.

What should you look for when nominating a teacher?

Look for educators who have in some way impacted the life of a student or family,  those who go beyond the job description to show that they care.

How are the Sixteen Finalists Selected?

Each nomination letter is read by the Teacher Awards Selection Committee, a group of volunteers including but not limited to LEF Board Members, sponsors and community volunteers.  The letters which convey the greatest impact determine the sixteen finalists.
