Nominate a Teacher

Nominations for the 2011 LEF Teacher Awards will open on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.  The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, October 29, 2010.

Who is eligible?

Any educator in a Lafayette Parish public, private or parochial school, grades K-12

Who can nominate a teacher?

Students, parents, fellow educators, citizens from the community

What should you look for when nominating a teacher?

Look for educators who have in some way impacted the life of a student or family,  those who go beyond the job description to show they care.

How are the Sixteen Finalists Selected?

Each nomination letter is read by the Teacher Awards Selection Committee, a group of volunteers including but not limited to LEF Board Members.  The letters which portray the greatest impact determine the sixteen finalists.
